The perfumer's note
Tuberose, an enchanting flower with a complex, difficult temperament that needs taming. A very narcotic white flower, it has a medicinal side and a creamy coconut lactonic facet.
We sought out the flower’s spicy, peppery notes to counterbalance the medicinal side. To enhance the lactonic aspect, we added woody notes of cedar, sandalwood, and patchouli. We amplified its character with spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, black pepper, and Sichuan pepper.
We intensified its tuberose floral essence with jasmine and violet absolute.
Tuberose is a “clair-obscur” chypre, starting off fresh and spicy, with a darker base of moss and patchouli.
It’s an intensely rich composition, a flower with real personality, needing to be adorned in its finest.
